A group of Pakistani people visited his eminence

A group of pious people from the city of Karachi, Pakistan, who run 30 schools and centers for memorization of Quran, visited his eminence Grand Ayatollah Duzduzani Tabrizi last week.

In the beginning of the meeting, one of the attendees described actions of this Qurani group and mentioned how they educate Hefezes of Quran.

His eminence Grand Ayatollah Duzduzani Tabrizi welcomed the Missionaries of Quran and appreciated their efforts, while his eminence recited a Hadith from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): “Woe to the people who do not appoint a day of the week for their religious issues”. As an interpretation of this Hadith, his eminence said: “It is realized from the Hadith that Shias need to appoint a day once a week for holding religious meetings. Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) emphasized this matter as well and considered it necessary for strengthening beliefs and explaining religious topics, since a person will be acquainted with religious matters merely through these meetings.”

At the end of the meeting, with reference to extremism and its root causes in Pakistan and Iran, the eminent Marja’ said:

“Unfortunately, some Muslims lay hand on old disputes and highlight them. Why some people would have quit propagating Vajib and necessary practices and focused on Mustahab and unnecessary practices. Do their deeds cause anything but division among Muslims?
Therefore, all of us, Shia people need to watch how we behave and speak, to stand against extremism, and avoid causing division”.
